Sorry,  we are no longer taking reservations for Cliff Waters. Please check back in 2009.

Once you cross the causeway from mainland Nova Scotia to Cape Breton Island, you are well on your way to Cliff Waters Cottage and Guest Cabin.

Follow twists and bends along coastal Route 19 through small fishing and farming communities where music and culture flourish, to the world famous Cabot Trail, known for its picturesque and pristine scenery.

You will enter the Acadian village of Cheticamp, where we recommend that you fill up on gas and groceries before continuing on to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. At the park entrance, you may purchase a park pass that entitles you to stop at many scenic lookout points and to take advantage of over 25 different hiking and walking trails in the area.

As you descend McKenzie Mountain you will have the opportunity to look out over Pleasant Bay and a mass of land that extends into the horizon. See if you can spot a red dirt road extending north. This is Red River Road.

In Pleasant Bay, turn left onto Red River Road.

Continue along this shoreline road to near end, about fifteen minutes. On the left you will find Cliff Waters Cottage and Guest Cabin where we, Jer & Niki will meet you at 4:00pm to pass you the keys to your private coastal highland retreat.

If you get lost, or expect a late arrival, please phone (902) 224-1130.
