Jeremy and Niki,
Thank you for a marvelous holiday. We loved your cottage and we all agree it was the wonderful people we met who made our first visit to Cape Breton so memorable. We hope to be back soon and bounce the twins in our arms! Love to May and Alfred.

Dear Niki and Jeremy,
Thank you so much for a great vacation home, so well appointed with spices, oils, soaps, etc. It certainly made it much easier for us to cook and even host a dinner guest who works at the Abbey. We loved seeing Mama Moose and her twins in our own yard, as well as the whales, eagles and other wildlife that are tight here! Having explored this northern-most part of Cape Breton we all declared this to be the best spot of all! The best to both of you, may your tent keep you warm and dry and may your new home in Halifax be absolutely wonderful. Take care,
- Becky, Linda, Carol and Carlyle, Arlington, VA and Washington, DC

Third visit to Cliff Waters
Jer and Niki,
Another trip, another chance to breathe. Our visits here are always the highlight of the year. Redemption, whales and moose – what could be better. Al the best, see you again next year! Much love,
- Doug and Sheri, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

P.S. Please let us hear from you during the year!

Dear Niki,
I’m really disappointed I didn’t get to see you guys again. I made this necklace and earrings for you. In my opinion it’s very pretty; hopefully you think so too. We can’t wait to see you two next year. (Also, we love the jam. Thanks!!!!!) Mama and Papa are going to mail a present, but I’m not saying what it is! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! We miss you and love you lots! Much love,
- Lily, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

P.S. The storm last Thursday killed your hanging basket. We did our best to help the poor thing, but it didn’t pull through. Maybe it’ll come back! As far as we know nothing was damaged in the awful weather. Hope to see you next year!

July 25 - August 1, 2007
Niki and Jeremy,
This trip has truly been a blessing on so many levels, but most of all I am grateful having met you and your family. Words cannot express how much I enjoyed hearing your stories and listening to your music and laughter. Thank you for opening your home and your hearts to us. I am looking forward to meeting you at the outer banks. Until then,
-Mary Wallace, North Carolina

Niki and Jer,
Mountains, Sea, Moose, Kayaks, Hikes, Niki, Jer, Alfred, May, Music, Fellowship, Friends, “Peaceful”, “Easy,” “Feeling,” Hollis, There isn’t enough words to describe how this trip has affected me. Just thinking of all the experiences makes me sad that our time is almost over. Meeting you guys has been the #1 joy in this whole vacation, along with Al and May! Our night on Monday was indescribable! What talents you both have. The place here has been absolutely perfect. I envy you both, being able to live here and have all of this heritage surround you, not to mention all the beauty! Hopefully you guys and we can meet at the OB next spring. What a treat that would be. Surely we’ll get to be here in the near future also. (Can’t imagine not being back here). We will always carry the memory of you two and all the people here, through the rest of our lives. Just wish we had more time now, to enjoy the present. But we do look forward to the future when we’ll meet again. Truly and honestly, Love Ya! Enjoy the Eagles,
-Rodney Russell, Albemarle, North Carolina

We cannot begin to express our thanks to you for not only opening your home to us, but also opening your heats and family to us! Cape Breton is everything we thought it would be; green, peaceful, silent, blue oceans, rocky cliffs, on and on! But most special were the people! You are both special people with very special gifts! Use the gifts God has given you and you will always be blessed! The music was outstanding and beyond words; it was a shining star in our trip! But meeting May and Alfred touched our hearts! When your grandfather hugged me and said, “I hate to see you go from the bottom of my heart,” I nearly cried. (Heck – I did cry in the car). They are lovely gentle people with stories that tell who they are in their souls. You are very lucky to have them both! They are treasures! Rodney and I will stay in touch! I’ll get Jeri’s scarf to you before you go to Halifax. Please know we’ll hold you both in our hearts until we see you again! Peace, Love and Happiness!
-Donna, Albemarle, North Carolina

Dear Friends,
Thanks for a wonderful stay, your friendliness and hospitality. It is an impressive nature with whales and eagles, etc. and we have found memories to take home. You sure know (how) to make your guests feel welcome.  The cottage was so well equipped.  I am sure we will not find such a wonderful place to stay again, with such lovely hosts. Thank you!  Wish our stay could have been longer, but we are grateful for the few days you were able to arrange for us. Have a wonderful year ahead.
Love,
-Gerdi and Phillipina, Holland

Hi Jer and Nikki,
We’ll it’s 6:00 am and guess what? It’s still raining! But what a reward for a damp and early start – standing outside the house today eating your shrubs; a young bull moose in the half-light - no kidding. We see it as a sign (but of what?!) What with the folks, hummingbirds, seals, whales and wildflowers we feel like it has been a privilege to share the same space on earth for a few days. Thank you so much and good luck to you both. Hoping to return one day,
- Jo, Rick and Georgie Girl, Baltimore, MD

Far too brief a visit to even begin to truly appreciate this charming cottage you have infused with warmth and beauty and a very inviting glimpse into your world. The special touches did not go unnoticed, even in our “busy” existence caring for three children and Nana… the wonderful loaf of bread, the bottle of wine, the many small vases filled with wildflowers, the park pass, the “17 Things to do in Pleasant Bay,” the ‘indigenous’ soap dish ( I looked for a similar one at the beach), the nature and hiking guides, croquet set, beautiful stone chess set, fair trade organic coffee, outdoor shower, and BEST of all, the three handwritten pages on Cape Breton Island included in your guest manual – If you happen to have a copy online, this would be the best souvenir I could find to remember our time here… you are a gifted writer! We would be happy to cross paths again and explore this exquisite scenery without having to leave so soon…
- Carine Blin and Alan Harman, Toronto, Ontario

P.S. We also appreciate eco-friendly recycling and clothesline. To top it off, a seal popped its head out of the water close to shore this morning at the beach! A sublime moment for all of us. We love this place.

Thanks guys for everything. As you know we had a wonderful visit and even in the fog and murk, Cape Breton is soft and magical in the summer. You are great spiritual guides to your home. I look out the kitchen window at the abbey and imagine spiritual mastery inside, it’s their home too and I wonder how the visions differ. My idea of Cape Breton never included saffron robes until we came here. More like coal mines and strikes and the manliest of men, gnarled Scots, and driftwoodBut of course, life is here to surprise and delight us else why live it. You guys surprise and delight at every turn. As fellow travelers, we love you both (and Nana and Poppie who we will meet) (next time). LATER xxo

Jer and Niki
Thanks so much for the AH-MAZING cottage. We had loads of fun here – went for lots of hikes, and even down to the Red River beach 3 times! We had a huge bonfire with the McFederans on Canada Day, and saw the boat parade! We also went whale watching, and saw Finbacks and Minke whales. Lots of other wildlife around too – moose, fox, birds, snakes, etc. And the scenery is of course incredible!! We went over the Cabot Trail many times on day trips, but every time it still amazed us. Many thanks for a fabulous week. You have really beautiful spot up here. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Take care and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Dear Jer and Niki,
Niki, you said, “Strangers are friends you haven’t met yet.” It has been our pleasure to find friends at Pleasant Bay. Your thoughtfulness and your company, your music and stories have made a wonderful stay so much more meaningful. Good luck with the fiddle, the Australians and your future ventures. We will keep in touch and soon return! Lots of Love,

Second visit to Cliff Waters
Wow! You guys are quite a team! Amazing hosts with such magical talents. Of course your musicianship is amazing and you truly make wonderful music together. Thank you for sharing your home with us and your many talents. Some highlights for us: Your music, company, beautiful sunsets, hummingbirds at mealtimes, wine and scotch (wow!), the famous sausage cart, Nana’s scones and muffins and poetry reading, French press coffee, the amazing flowers, finding cookie recipes, relaxing on the deck, the thunderstorm, being art of the excitement of the Australian crew, I just can’t describe what a wonderful time we had. And without you guys, it would have been ‘OK.’ You bring so much to the experience. It’s too bad we won’t be back next year. We’ll have two years of the girls continually asking when will we be back at Niki-Jer’s house. But maybe Julia will take up an instrument for the next time.

As we mentioned to you, in Julia’s opinion, our vacation didn’t truly begin until we arrived here, and now that we’re leaving, I guess our vacation is “over”. Thanks so much for everything; you already know what a special time this has been for us. I’m so glad we had our nights of music, with the girls falling asleep to it… it’s probably what I’ll remember most of all, so the next time we’re here; I’ll swear we did that every night. And maybe by next time, I’ll find some hidden talent to share as well (or at least I can rely on the rest of the family to pull their weight). Good luck on your summer of “relaxation.”   May your days be filled with surfing and fiddling. For us, we’ll try to keep the “Cliff Waters feeling” throughout the year, but I’m sure we’ll be back soon to recharge. Thanks again for EVERYTHING!
- Christine, Keith, Julia and Lexa, Acton, MA

P.S. Thank Alfred and May again for the scones and homemade jam. Awesome! Love and best wished,

Jer and Niki,
What a special place, and what special hosts! As I said at our crab boil, I have searched for wonderful spaces for our family vacations the last few years – someplace so perfect, once you made the long trip there, you’d feel you don’t have to leave that spot once you had arrived. I have been lucky to find some really amazing places, but this is the best! You have such a beautiful location here, and it is perfectly complemented by the space you have created. We have loved all the little touches both inside and out – great job Niki. I could go on about details, but will just sum it up with saying it is a perfect spot to be in, to relax and enjoy a vacation, and get in touch with family nature and yourself. Thanks for the great job, and thanks more for sharing it with us. You guys are great. Best luck with everything in the future, and hopefully we’ll see you and Cape Breton in the future.
- Charlie, Terry, Kelsey and Kristin Miranda, Georgia, Vermont

P.S. Cliff Waters = food for the soul.
P.P.S. Love the Spinning Jenny and outdoor shower.
P.P.P.S. “No Applause.” “Boo, Boo!”

Hey, this is Kristin!
I love your home, the place is beautiful! You guys are so nice, lovely crab legs (my those were huge!) the singing and everything. You guys are so incredibly savvy, and I hope so much to come here again. I loved blowing bubbles out the window, (I was like “cool! Bubble mix!” when I got here) but today is not a good day. Unless you may want some bubbles in your face! (Way too windy). And last (but not least) I loved the teddy bear you put on the bed. That guy is soo cute! (Lots of other things were lovely, like the outdoor shower, the cool sunsets, and the atmosphere of the place). Art supplies were lovely also! I hate to leave here (but do get to go to orchestra camp!) and will have to come back some day. Savvy days! Thanks for everything.
-Kristin E. Miranda, Georgia, Vermont

Our daily life at home in Houston (pop 5 million) is so frantic; Cliff Waters was a much need Ahhhh! Hearing only the wind, the waves, bees in the garden, eagles flying overhead and bird song was heavenly.   Sitting in your lovely garden, gazing out at the ocean, flowers of every variety, and the misty highlands, I felt such a sense of peace and contentment. That is vacation. Watching my teenager gaze at the sea, lost in thought and my younger daughter at the perfect little desk upstairs painting the scene she saw out the window gave me such pleasure. Kids relaxing and amusing themselves, the old fashioned way without TV, or video games! We never wanted to leave the property, but when we did we saw gorgeous views, took fun hikes, and boat rides, not to mention eating delicious crab, lobster and mussels. A vacation for all the senses. Needless to say, we had a fantastic time. We love Cape Breton and think Cliff Waters is the best spot on the island and one of the best spots anywhere! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.
- Pamela Shaffer,Houston, Texas

After reading everyone else’s comments and praise, we agree also. Our family vacation was unbelievable. The view, house, whales, Red River waterfall and the hikes make you not leave the premises. WE had wonderful crab, the flowers, etc. I could go on and on. The most important is the hosts, Niki and Jeremy. You are very special. The fire and singing (Jer, you are talented and say “Thank you!”). Our door is open in West Palm, come see us! Thanks so much and all the best!
- John, Carol, Jake, Katie, and Olivia Barnhart, West Palm, Florida

P.S. I had a great time!

What a delight to walk into your beautiful cabin adorned with fresh flowers and so many lovely touches that made you both the most extraordinary hosts! Everything (down to the bowl of q-tips in the bathroom… which we forgot to bring!) was perfect. We learned many things (both domestic and natural) during our stay. (“It is important to wash the cotton clothes line before use!”... and “Moose are wild animals”). Mostly, we appreciate you sharing this beautiful spot with us – it will lead to a lifetime of terrific memories of our adventures here.  Good luck with all of your adventures, and if you ever come to PA again, please stop by in between your tours of the UTZ and Hershey factories. Thanks again for the terrific vacation!
- Cara, Ardmore, PA

You guys have really created a little piece of paradise here - thanks for sharing it with us and other lucky visitors! Cara and I have loved getting to know the land that you guys know so well, and hope to come back again someday. And if you have a chance, do email pics of the softball game – Buddhist Monks vs. Pleasant Bay Vol. firemen. All the best,
- Isabelle, Ardmore, PA

Our last night here, how very sad. Highlights - moose everyday (Benjie’s Lake and Fishing Cove). Jer singing Celtic songs under the stars while we sip wine and discuss taboo subjects. Whale watching with Jill – Capt. Mark’s mate. Buying 5 lbs. of lobster off a fisherman, an invigorating ice cold shower at sunset in the out of doors. Keji and Greg flying a kite on the bluff. All fantastic and never will be forgotten. We hope you will consider coming to visit Maine and stay with us. Niki – thank you for your beautiful flowers and small details. Good luck with this beautiful place. You are both very unique and special people.  Thanks for everything - what a slice of heaven!
- Jennifer, Greg and Keji, USA

First visit to Cliff Waters
Niki and Jer,
As we sit on the front yard, gazing out at the blue, blue ocean, I’m filled with a feeling of longing. I think back to when we first arrived a week ago, swerving on incredibly curvy roads, in a thick blanket of fog, fearful of a moose suddenly appearing on the road, while fighting sleepy thoughts at 1 am., and I wish we could be back there again, with a full week ahead of us at Cliff Waters. Of course, people are always a bit sad at the end of a vacation, but the funny thing for us is that our overall vacation isn’t even over yet. But how can our few remaining days in Nova Scotia compare to our wonderful experience here? From the moment we arrived, we felt so very welcome, and the calm of the environment has certainly slowed our pulse. I can’t possibly describe all of the great moments of our stay here, but know that without a doubt, this is a vacaton that wil be a lifetime memory for us. We came to Cape Breton to get away from work, to spend time with our daughters, to experience nature (though we hadn’t planned on sharing a trail with a mama moose!) And of course to simply relax. What we hadn’t expected was to find friends in Cape Breton as well. Thanks for opening your wonderful home to us, thanks for spending time with us (we could listen to you sing for hours Jer). Thanks for making our first experience so memorable. We will be seeing you again! Keep working on that idea of an airport in Pleasant Bay).

Words simply can’t describe what a wonderful time we’ve all had. It really feels like a second home (many miles away from Acton, Massachusettes).    It really feels like we just came to visit friends. It really feels like the best vacation ever. Sitting by the fire watching incredible sunsets (and a few sunrises), eating pasta by the cliff, playing cribbage, having Julia and Lexa fall asleep to guitar music, hearing stories, learning new languages, learning about Jer and Niki from Nana (Julia loves her new moose Benji), watching the Buddhists walk by… Like Kieth mentioned…”a lifelong memory.” Niki and JEr, we think you are the nicest, most hospitable, easy to get along with people we’ve ever met. I’m so glad that Kieth found this place in the ‘Moon’ book. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We hope that all your guests get to appreciate the beauty of this place, and the people who try so hard to make them fell at home. Without a doubt, we’ll return “home” in a year or two. If I could sum it all up, I would simply say it was all “Tickety-boo”. Thank you so much!
- The Champouxes (Kieth, Christine, Julia and Lexa), Acton, MA

P.S. Julia appreciated the ‘Ratlin’ Bog’ song – 2 nights in a row!

We came here two days ago with the expectation that this place would be really cool. Now that we are about to leave, all that I can say is Wow!

Between the fox that visited us last night and several times this morning, the bald eagles, standing on the porch and looking at whales in the ocean, it’s hard to say what was the best. I (Dana) personally enjoyed being able to take a shower outdoors while staring at the mountains and the ocean. It feels like you are on the edge of the earth out here! Away from the house, the 5 of us had some interesting adventures. We saw 7 moose here on Cape Breton. Hung out with “Acadian Hookers” who taught us the tricks of their trade. We spent lots of time in the national park. Some of our favorite sights were the bog trail, lone shieling, green cove (where we saw seals, whales, and sea birds off shore). Beulach Ban Falls was beautiful! Mary ann falls is less spectacular, but still worth the trip. Thank you Niki for you hospitality!
- Cindy, Marc, Paul, Barb and Dana, Chicago, IL

It was good to be back beside the sea and see whales and eagles on a daily basis. We enjoyed the accommodations.
- Adam and Shirley, Orrilla, Ontario

Niki, to know a place we have to get to know the people and, your hospitality, stories, and suggestions made a great contribution to the pleasure we experienced in Cape Breton. The scenery, wildlife and solitude were very enjoyable and made a great vacation with the families (Thompson and Joyces) particularily our granddaughter “Meghan” (21 weeks old). Thank you and we wish you and your new husband the best in the future. Regards,
- Tom and Kathy, Waterloo, Ontario

P.S. I promised to return your book by mail – Great Short Stories by Leo Talstoy!

Loved it!! We will never forget this family vacation. There was something for everyone. A special surprise that came with the cottage is your hospitality and company. Love your cottage and spectacular view. All the amenities in a remote wilderness retreat. Saw whales, seals, eagles, hawks, foxes, moose, and chipmunks. All the best to you and your family!
P.S. No books to write – mother and father-in-law, Mum and Dad, Darren, Meghan and I had a wonderful time together.
- Darren, Linda, and Meghan, Ontario

P.S. No books to write – mother and father-in-law, Mum and Dad, Darren, Meghan and I had a wonderful time together.

We wanted a place really remote, in the woods, with a good view and that’s what we got (and much more). We saw a lot of animals, we’re not used to seeing (moose, whales, wild cows, seal, bald eagle, (first time outside a cage). In a word…really beautiful; and relaxing. The cottage is really great and we appreciated the basket at our arrival. Thank you very much for your hospitality. Good luck in all your projects. Take care.
- Linda and Eric from Laval, Quebec

P.S. Nous avons beacoup apprecie notre sejour et nous ne pensions pas qu’il pouvait des endroits au Canada si chargees de nature (a part dans le grand Nord). Merci de nous avoir fait decouvir cet endroit merveilleux.

Thank you Niki for such a wonderful weekend. Not only do we feel relaxed and renewed – it seems as though we have touched heaven! And we saw a moose. You have a very beautiful property here – possibly the nicest I’ve seen in the province. All the best to you. I will send lots of people your way.
- Allison, Halifax, Nova Scotia

First visit to Cliff Waters
I can’t imagine a better place to stay in all of Cape Breton – perhaps all of Canada! My only regret is that we had only two nights instead of two weeks. This place was yoga for my soul. I will be back some day.
- Sheri

I LIKE IT!
- Lily

Niki, this has been fabulous. Sleeping in a box here would be beautiful enough, but staying in this glorious cabin is just about heaven. We’ll definitely tell people we know about this wonderful place (well, people we like anyway!) Our bets to you and Jeremy, we hope to see you again soon!
- Doug

Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Thank you for a great vacation in Cape Breton. The view is amazing, sunsets, whales, campfires, and your wonderful hospitality. We loved the remoteness of your place here and the closeness to nature. Your recommendations for day trips were right on and helped us to enjoy our limited time in this great place. Best of luck in the future!
-Natascha, Brad, Tristan and Blythe, Waterloo, Ontario

 2004

In our opening year (2004) – we did things a little differently; we rented just the Spinning Jenny guest cabin by the night. We delivered fresh brewed organic coffee to the door step of the cabin. On most evenings we entertained our guests around a campfire with live music and long-john stories. During the day while the guests were out, we were busy cleaning, building the luxury tent, answering the phone, replying to emails, making trips to Cheticamp for supplies …phew! It was tough. But, the response was overwhelming - thank you!

"This was a very unique beautiful place to be for me. The stars at night, the Big Dipper seemed to dip down right outside my room - then move on. Thank you Niki, Jeremy and Jake for your warm hospitality and music. The best! Hope to see you again soon!"
-Jane, Leawood, Kansas

"What a beautiful piece of Paradise. I will be returning many times. Watched whales from the deck. I will be back in a couple of weeks to hike to Polletts Cove. Thank you."
-Laurie, Nova Scotia

"Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and the lively music and the campfire. We had great times. Good luck!"
-Soizic and Alex, Montreal

"This is truly the best place we ever got lost! Maybe it has been our karma we met you both! Thank you very much for the gorgeous stay at your beautiful place and your warm welcome. We would like to wish you all the best and all the luck you need. Dont ever stop singing Jeremy! (As soon as you get famous, I am the first to get an autograph!) We'll surely come back!"
-Naja & Norbert, Germany

"Thank you so much for having us. Youre hospitality was overwhelming. Unbelievable spot you have here at the End of the Red River Road. All the best with your cabins. (The 1st one is the nicest / funkiest one we've seen!) We enjoyed the fire and homegrown songs last night. This was definitely a highlight of our trip! Thanks a bunch!"
-Brad & Coleen, the Manatobans!

"A place of peace and tranquility in a very hectic world; that's how I would describe this place. Our hosts Jeremy and Niki are very warm and generous, and have made our stay so pleasant. The rustic cabin takes me back to my childhood, except for the nice warm shower. I will remember this place for many years."
-Dwayne, St. Augustine, Florida

"I have had such a wonderful time here - hiking up the mountain yesterday afternoon and walking along the beach today, picking wild strawberries and visiting Gampo Abbey. But last night was the best - Jeremys playing and singing around the campfire and the star studded night was awesome! Niki and Jeremy - youre the greatest - Thanks! P.S. I will highly recommend this place to anyone I know coming to Nova Scotia."
-Mary, St. Augustine, Florida

"What a pleasant surprise to find such a gem at the end of the road. The Spinning Jenny is quaint and so peaceful. The views are fantastic. I enjoyed sitting up last night and watching the sunset. Your friendly welcome and morning basket of coffee will not be forgotten. Sitting on the deck enjoying the beautiful sunshine just added to an already memorable visit. Thank you so much for kindness and generosity. This has certainly been the highlight of our trip."
-Jane, Nigel, Brody and Emily, Victoria, British Columbia

"Excellent innovative approach! Best of luck!"
-Gordon, Department of Environment, Sydney, NS

"A beautiful room with a comfortable bed, and with a view of sky and sea as vast as you could want it to be."
-Paul, Bellingham, Washington

"Thank you Niki and Jeremy for your warm hospitality! We did have a great time at this marvelous place. We enjoyed the birds, the woods, the rosebush and the sea in the evening as well as waking up with those again, including a nice cup of coffee."
-Ursula and Guenther, Vienna, Austria

"Thank you Niki and Jeremy - your warm hospitality made our stay memorable. Beautiful cabin. Very private and scenic, keep up the good work!"
-Mary, Terry and Nicholas, Vancouver, British Columbia

"Thank you Niki and Jeremy. Awesome beauty. Quiet. So quiet we could hear the whales breath upon surfacing. Sunsets and stars, a comfortable bed and generous hosts. A taste of Paradise for all four of us. Thank you for sharing this spot of Paradise with us."
-Jonathan, Nathanial, Derek and Krysta, Harvey Station, New Brunswick

"The absolute highlight of our trip. I could stay here forever. Wonderful touches to the cottage. The outdoor shower is the coup de gras. Niki and Jeremy are treasures in and of themselves. Thank you. Best wishes to you both."
-Jane and Frances, Baltimore

"This is perfection! We came to enjoy nature, yet luxurious - and this is it. I love all the feminine touches. Thank you!"
-Betsy and Sid, Lancaster, PA

"A beautiful serene spot (what a view!) and cheerful, warm hospitality - we could not ask for more. We came for just a rest spot close to Cheticamp before our five day kayak trip and got much, much more."
-Eric and Caroline, Seattle, Washington / St. Ann's, Nova Scotia

"What an extraordinary and beautiful place you have created - nestled in amongst the trees and wildflowers. Spectacular views of whales breaching in the early morning sun - breathtaking sunsets in the evening. It would be wonderful if everyone was able to experience this - a very unique find - paradise at the end of Red River Road. Thank you. For everything. Every detail was much appreciated. Thanks for your kind hospitality. We look forward to coming back again soon!"
-Anne, Sydney, Australia
-Robert, Montreal, Quebec

"Its not very often that I am wowed in Cape Breton. I thought I had seen it all in Cape Breton. This place is absolutely beautiful - and utterly unique! I loved the music, the cabin and the hospitality. I will be back, and so will my friends. Niki and Jeremy keep doing it this way. You have a great formula. Thanks."
-Jack, Hannah and Mac - Halifax, Nova Scotia

"Niki and Jeremy: Thanks for the grand hospitality, the beautiful cabin, view and the music. You made a rainy vacation quite lovely, and we got to see the sights, all the best!"

"This was so much more than we could have ever expected. The two of you are very special, and what youre sharing is very special and we feel very fortunate and very grateful and determined to take some of this spirit back with us. Good luck with the music Jeremy, youre really, really good. I hope the studio session is a smash. Good luck to both of you, may your dreams come true, and well see you next time. We found these rocks, the big one at Polletts Cove. Thought they would be right for the cabin. Share any news you have or whatever."

"Thanks to you we had so many experiences we had never had, and never would have found! From the frolicking humpback whale endlessly thwacking itself on the water on the hike to Pollett's Cove to the lone seal surfing the waves when we got there, to Alberta whiskey, to no electricity and showering out with the sunset over the sea, to both of you and your wonderful selves, amazing music, food and Nova Scotia lore. We had an incredible time, well tell all of our friends. Many thanks. Call us if you are coming to New York."

"Well, its amazing how things happen. We ended up in Pleasant Bay at the local convenience store in hopes to find a wilderness tenting site on the ocean. The nice lady at the store told us MacIntosh Brook would be our only option. Curious as usual, our eyes wondered to the store notice board and quickly the reality of sleeping by the ocean was coming true. We drove down Red River Road, almost at dark. It didnt take long to realize that this nice cabin would suit us just fine for the evening. We opened a nice bottle of red Chilean wine just like the one we drank in the Patagonian Mountains the April before last. My feet were getting a little cold, so I asked Carl if he had some woollies. He passed me some warm socks and I proceeded to place the left one on and then the right one. To my surprise, there was a ring in this special sock! It was whit gold with three diamonds handcrafted by a Gitsan first nation, Rob Sebatian, from New Hazelton, British Columbia. The middle diamond, in a sunburst, encompassed by two wolves with diamonds in their eyes. What a fantastic demonstration of symbolic love between the love of my life and myself. We are soul mates forever and what a beautiful spot to rise up in the morning from a beautiful night of union, peace and love. Cliff Waters cabin is where Carl asked me to marry him. Thank you so much for your hospitality and the very nice wilderness venue for a life altering experience. Romance and love are in the air."

"Niki and Jeremy, the best in everything you do. Your home and cabin keep getting better and better. Thank you for sharing it with us. I look so forward to every visit - the birch trees on the hike to Polletts Cove were amazing - the views, the sounds (leaves rustling and crackling) the luckiest people live on Red River Road. Nemaste. Thank you from Upper Kingsburg."
